We can't wait to meet you! 👋
Whether you’re new to faith, new to the city, or just looking for a fresh start, you’re welcome here. Come as you are — there’s room for you and your family at avenue church nyc!
01
What do you believe?

Avenue Church NYC is a member of the Presbyterian Church (USA), a mainline Protestant Christian denomination. We are guided by the Bible and the Book of Confessions - a collection of historic and modern statements of faith - to discern together how God is moving today. You can learn more about us here.
03
When and where do you meet?
We gather every Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. at 1745 1st Avenue on the Upper East Side. Worship lasts about an hour, with singing, prayers, and teaching from the Bible. You’ll find us in the heart of the neighborhood — easy to reach by the Q Train or the M86 bus.
02
What do you have for children?

We're an intergenerational church that highly values worshiping together! Our Avenue Kids program happens right in our sanctuary space, which allows for creative bible lessons tailored to a range of ages, while still allowing families to experience portions of Sunday worship together. Learn more about Avenue Kids here.

Is there a dress code?

Whatever makes you feel most comfortable! For reference, our Pastor is probably wearing jeans and a T-shirt.

Inclusion

We strive to create spaces of worship where, no matter your social or economic circumstance, gender, race, or sexual orientation, you will feel safe, welcome, and celebrated. We proudly support More Light Presbyterians and Parity, two incredible organizations working for the full participation of LGBTQ+ people of faith in the life, ministry, and witness of the Church. Avenue Church NYC unequivocally supports the ordination of women and LGBTQ+ individuals to all facets of church leadership.
